Fly over pristine west coast rain forest, through deep river valleys that are remnants of the last glacial period over 25000 years ago, to make a high altitude landing amongst the impressive mountain grandeur near Mt. Aspiring. We then fly on to see close up, cascading cliffs of compressed blue ice, deep crevasses, steep, short hanging glaciers plus long winding glaciers up to 10 km long, waterfalls, sheer rock faces, and native forest. Then we fly on to New Zealands most colourful and interesting mountain range, the Red Hills. Land beside a greenstone boulder (Jade) on Cascade Plateau before heading off via the spectacular coastal cliffs viewing the resident wildlife from above to land at Jacksons Bay for an iconic NZ meal of ‘Fish and Chips’.
